The firm of Stephens & Tozer was founded in 1904. However, it is believed that the founding Partners Seymour Darvall Tozer and Llewelyn Stephens commenced practice in Brisbane some years earlier whilst Mr Stephens served a term as Mayor of South Brisbane.

Since its inception, the Firm has provided practical, efficient and personalised attention to its clients through the efforts of former Partners Norman and John Harris, Harry and Keith Stone and Tony Prentice.

It is a testament to the decades of excellent service provided to its clients that the Firm continues to flourish today and the tradition of service is carried on by its present Partners.

The Firm is particularly proud that its clients return generation after generation so that today's clients are in many cases, the great grandchildren of the first clients of the Firm.
